I left Cardiff in torrential rain with a car packed with paintings for the exhibition and arrived in St Davids in bright sunshine. It couldn't have been more different. The place was packed with holiday makers and it felt as if I was stepping into a different country.
The paintings are now on the gallery website and the exhibition opens in a week.
