One Day in Spring. Oil on canvas.
Back from Germany, back from London and one more trip down the M4 to Cardiff. This time the landscape was not as it was in Spring when I was inspired to paint this picture. Then, the fresh, delicate shades of the trees in blossom were breathtaking after the cold, monochrome landscapes of Winter. My trip this time was a battle through heavy rain - where is Summer?
I am anxious to get back to work but I need to get ready for the drive to France in the next two weeks. I have two paintings I would like to finish before I go so that's what I'm aiming for.
